Meet The Staff

Dr. Robert T. Lalor

Dr. Lalor, known as Doc, was raised in the Bronx, the proud son of a New York City Detective and an Elementary School Teacher.  He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame.  He was the recipient of 1 of 10 New York State Regent scholarships to dental school, awarded on the basis of a competitive exam that he took a year early.  Never was his mother more proud.  He continued on to Columbia University where he graduated with a degree of Doctor of Dental surgery on June 6, 1961.  That same week he also took the Dental Boards and married his lovely wife Adriana.  Doc always says, "I passed the Boards, but I failed the honeymoon!".

Dr. Lalor and Adriana spent the next 3 years living in Crown Point, New Mexico, providing dentistry to Navajo Indians, fulfilling his obligation to the Public Health Service.  While in New Mexico Doc became a licensed pilot.  Meanwhile Adriana was busy with their first child.  They went on to be the proud parents of five children, one of whom he inspired to follow in his footsteps as a Dentist.

In 1964 the family left New Mexico and spent a short time in Vermont, before deciding to check out the Binghamton area, where  IBM had a booming business.  Dr. Lalor opened his practice at 9 Tioga Blvd, Apalachin, NY. He spent 39 years at that address, before building the beautiful state- of-the-Art office that he is currently in. Dr. Lalor's kind heart has kept his staff close, almost half of which have been with him more than 20 years.

Dr. Robert A. Lalor

Dr. Bob graduated from the University of Notre Dame and University of Buffalo with a degree of Doctor of Dental surgery in 2000.  Dr. Bob did his residency at Nassau University Medical Center, before joining his father's practice in 2001, where he was welcomed with open arms from Dr. Lalor's long time staff.  In 2003, he married his beautiful wife Dr. Mary John.  They have two adorable children together.

Dr. Bob was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 2006.  To earn Fellowship, dentists must complete 500 continuing education credits, pass a gruelling comprehensive exam, apply for and accept the award.  Dr. Bob's enthusiasm for Dentistry and making the practice the best that it can be has been very exciting in helping the office grow to what it is today.

Dr. Mary John

Dr. Mary John was born in Kerala, India.  However, she spent most of her childhood in Nigeria, Africa before immigrating to the US at the age of 12.  Her family found a new home in Queens, New York.

Dr. John received her Bachelor of Science at SUNY Binghamton and in 2000 graduated with a degree of Doctor of Dental surgery from University of Buffalo. She did her residency at Nassau University Medical Center, and stayed on as Chief Resident.  She married Dr. Robert A. Lalor in 2003 and they have two beautiful children. Dr. John joined Lalor Creekside Dental in January 2006.
